This group will begin with a presentation of psychoanalytic work with a severely disturbed patient with a history of poor response to conventional treatment. Participants will explore psychoanalytic concepts and approaches as they apply to these dilemmas. Discussion will include reflections on the alliance, transference, and the role of the “third.”
