We offer a full complement of programs and services for you to engage with during your treatment. From individual psychotherapy to family work and prescription of medication to our therapeutic community, you’ll find a comprehensive array of services designed to meet you where you are and help you along the way.
A Multidisciplinary Approach to Care
Our programs and services are designed to facilitate a serious partnership of mutual problem solving and social learning.
Inn Residential Programs
When you begin treatment at the Austen Riggs Center you will live at the Inn, our main residence, for at least your first six weeks while you get to know us and begin to allow yourself to be known.
Step-Down Programs
Our step-down programs provide you with the opportunity to have a small group residential experience with a focus on developing the skills necessary to live independently, to return to school or work, and to engage in more fulfilling relationships.
Your Treatment Experience
While your treatment will reflect your own choices, all of our residential treatment programs start with intensive psychotherapy as the core, and include a range of complementary elements.
Admission Process
If other treatments haven’t worked, Riggs may be right for you. Unlike some other psychiatric hospitals in Massachusetts or elsewhere, our relational, patient-centered treatment approach addresses underlying issues, not just symptoms.
