As director of human resources (HR) at the Austen Riggs Center, Latoya is responsible for leading the planning, development, and implementation of HR goals and objectives to maximize the staffing utilization and stability of a competent workforce.  She manages all aspects of the employee relation functions, including recruitment and selection, salary and wage administration, performance evaluations, benefits planning, and employment regulation compliance.  She also develops, recommends, and implements approved organization-wide employee relations policies and practices; and directs the uniform and equitable application of organization policies and procedures. 

Latoya holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from Regis College and a master’s degree in organizational leadership from Fort Hays State University. She started her HR career in the talent acquisition area and has worked mostly in the private sector in industries such as manufacturing/outsourcing and in the healthcare field as an HR manager. In addition, Latoya has worked in the public sector as an HR business partner and labor relations specialist. Latoya’s knowledge and experience as an HR professional spans more than a decade.
